CAMP COUNSELOR

SEASONAL - SUMMER 2025

The Fairfield Beach Club is looking for Camp Counselors for our summer beach camp! Camp will be an 8-Week program starting shortly after public schools are released for the summer. The campers range from ages 4-11. Camp operates Monday through Friday, 9am-12pm. Counselors must arrive prior to camp to set up for the day. We’re looking to create a fun summer for everyone! The most important job out of all Camp Counselor duties is to ensure campers are safe at all times. You’ll be responsible for overseeing their activities and well being. You will be guiding and participating in activities with the FBC Campers. Camp counselors are expected to be energetic, compassionate and positive role models for our campers. 

INTERVIEWS START APRIL 1st. Information about scheduling an interview will be sent to all applicants 2 weeks before April 1st.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive, caring demeanor and demonstrates enthusiasm, actively participating in all activities with campers and other staff throughout the day
• Cultivate positive relationships and maintain effective communication; using clear, concise and professional language when interacting with campers, camp families, and staff
• Ensures that facilities, storage areas, and equipment are well-maintained, organized, and used safely
• Set up and clean up equipment 
• Effectively communicate with FBC camp director and other FBC staff members 
• Effectively communicate available and non available dates with FBC camp director
• Wear appropriate clothing to camp 
• Supply your own snack, lunch and drink for camp
• Refrain from using your phone during camp hours unless there is an emergency

Qualification

• At least 16 years of age
• Outgoing and good with children
