Psychology Intern MSH Adolescent Health Center FT Days 

The Psychology Intern is a learning position in which the Intern conducts intake evaluations, individual, group and family therapy and counseling under the supervision of a licensed Psychologist.

Responsibilities
  • Conducts intake evaluations
  • Provides individual, group and family therapy
  • Provides parental counseling
  • Provides supervision of psychology externs
  • Attends didactic classes/seminars for trainees
  • Conducts psychologist testing
  • Writes psychological reports
  • Provides case management services
  • Prepares clinical notes and correspondent
  • Maintains accurate, up-to-date clinical charts
  • Participates in team meetings

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree and doctoral level training in clinical or school psychology
  • 2 - 3 years of part-time predoctoral clinical experience in a hospital setting. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served in assigned area.

Compensation Statement

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $16.50 - $16.50 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
